UAMS starts new program for helping rural health differences in places that need more support

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) has started a new institute called the UAMS Institute for Community Health Innovation. The institute will help improve health in rural areas of Arkansas. They will work with different communities to do research and create programs to make people healthier. The institute has 170 workers and offices in different cities in Arkansas. The director of the institute is Pearl McElfish. She has a lot of experience in helping communities stay healthy. The institute aims to find new ways to help people in Arkansas live better. They want to work with different groups to make sure everyone in the state is healthy. This is a big step for the UAMS and their mission to help everyone in Arkansas be healthier.
