Gossett started his career in the 1990s. He managed talent on his own before joining CED TalentAgency in 2001. This agency was known for finding new young actors. After doing well there, he went to UTA as an agent. At UTA, he worked with famous stars like Zendaya, Miley Cyrus, and Kristen Bell.
In 2012, he went back to CESD as Senior Vice President. He worked in the Motion Picture and Television divisions in New York and Los Angeles. He helped many young actors grow in their careers.
Some stars he has helped are Jennifer Lawrence, Demi Lovato, and Lucy Hale. His current clients include Antonia Gentry and Paulina Chávez.
Gossett has a Master’s degree in Acting from Cornell University. He also teaches acting and supports diversity in the entertainment industry.
