Kevin Ryder is back on the air at KROQ-FM (106.7) for the afternoon drive. This is not an April Fools’ joke.
Ryder worked at KROQ for over 30 years. He helped make it a famous radio station. He said, “It was a home for many listeners in Los Angeles. I am happy to be back.”
Kevin Weatherly, who used to be Ryder’s boss, is now back at KROQ. He left KROQ in 2019 but returned in 2022.
Ryder was fired from KROQ in March 2020. He had worked there for many years. After that, he worked at a rival station but was let go in September 2022.
When Ryder started his new show, he called KROQ by the wrong name, saying KLOS instead. He said it was strange to return to the place where he worked for so long.
Megan Holiday, who had the afternoon show before, will now have the evening show. Ryder is also writing a book about his time at KROQ.
