Michael Che is thinking about a serious time on “Saturday Night Live.” He worked on the show for 11 years.
Che remembers one very stressful day. He talked about it in the new documentary “Being Eddie.” He said, “The Eddie Murphy show was very tense. It felt scary. We needed to do well for Eddie Murphy.”
This show was special because it was Eddie Murphy’s first time back after 35 years. Eddie used to be on “SNL” from 1980 to 1984. He left after a joke from David Spade.
For his return, Lorne Michaels, the show’s creator, wanted Eddie to be personal in his opening talk. Che said, “Everyone wanted to hear him speak.”
After the show, Chris Rock said it was one of the best “SNL” episodes ever. Eddie Murphy also returned for the show’s 50th anniversary in 2025. He said it was a great experience.
This doc shows the funny times and memories of the comedians.
