A big win happened in Portland, Oregon! Someone won $1.3 billion in the Powerball game. They bought their lucky ticket at a Plaid Pantry store. This store is on 6060 N.E. Columbia Blvd. in Northeast Portland. The Oregon Lottery talked to the winner, but they are making sure everything is okay before they say who it is.
From all the tickets sold, the state will get $7.6 million. This money will help schools, parks, and other good causes. The stores that sold tickets will get $1.8 million. The Plaid Pantry that sold the winning ticket gets $100,000. This is good news for the people working there because they will get bigger bonuses.
The winner can choose to get $621 million in cash. After taxes, they will have about $330 million.
This win is the biggest one ever in Oregon. Before, the most anyone in Oregon won was $340 million in 2005. The biggest win in all of the U.S. was $2.04 billion in California last year.
