Salesforce leaders talked about CEO Marc Benioff’s jokes about immigration. This happened during a meeting at the company in San Francisco.
Robin Washington is the president of Salesforce. She spoke at the meeting on Thursday. This was the first companywide meeting after Benioff’s comments in February. Washington did not repeat Benioff’s jokes. But she told employees that the company is listening to them and will take action.
Washington said, “We have different ideas and ways to think.” She added that the company cares for its employees. If they make mistakes, they will fix them.
Some employees and leaders did not like Benioff’s jokes. Parker Harris, a cofounder of Salesforce, said that Benioff’s comment was very bad.
Washington also talked about listening to feedback from employees. She said, “You have all been heard.” The company is changing when needed. Salesforce did not reply to requests for comments on Thursday.
