Neil Sedaka, a famous singer and songwriter, has died at the age of 86. He was known for his catchy songs in the 1960s and 1970s. The cause of his death is not known yet.
His family said they are very sad about his sudden passing. They remember him as a rock and roll legend and a great person.
Sedaka started his music career when rock ‘n’ roll began. He wrote and performed many happy songs for young people. Some of his hits include “Stupid Cupid” and “Breaking Up Is Hard to Do.” He worked a lot with the singer Connie Francis.
Later, Sedaka faced challenges when new bands, like the Beatles, became popular. He spent some time in England and worked hard to find success again. In the 1970s, Elton John helped him, and he had more hits like “Laughter in the Rain.”
Sedaka continued to perform even in his later years. He is survived by his wife, daughter, son, and three grandchildren.
