The long-awaited Trump Mobile T1 phone is set to start shipping this week to customers who preordered the device. This announcement comes nearly a year after the phone was first revealed. Trump Mobile confirmed the news on X (formerly Twitter), stating that customers would receive an update email regarding their orders.
The T1 phone, which is anticipated to be a modified version of the T-Mobile REVVL 7 Pro 5G, encountered production delays since its initial planned release last August. Company CEO Pat O’Brien explained that the production of technology devices is complex. He assured potential buyers that the delays would ultimately result in a high-quality product.
Despite the announcement, some preorder customers are still waiting for updates. CNET Director of Content Patrick Holland reported that his preorder payment has not yet been processed. He discovered that his payment method required an update, leaving him unsure about when he will receive his phone.
Trump Mobile began operations in June 2025 and initially promoted the T1 phone as being manufactured in the US. However, the company later retracted that claim, citing difficulties in producing smartphones domestically. The website now states that the phone is “designed with American values in mind” instead.
The T1 phone features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display, a powerful camera system, and a long-lasting battery. While the exact manufacturing location remains unclear, executives indicated that final assembly will occur in Florida. As for future developments, the company is still accepting deposits for the T1 phone, which is currently advertised at a promotional price of $499.
