The value of US stocks is slightly lower because people are waiting for news from the Federal Reserve. This news will help decide future interest rates. Bitcoin, a kind of electronic money, has increased its value to over $63,000.
Shares in the technology market and the S&P 500 market also went down by a little bit, 0.3%. In Europe, shares went up. An Italian luxury company, Moncler SpA, did really well. However, Air France-KLM did poorly because it had a loss. Anheuser-Busch InBev, a big beer company, also did poorly because it made less money than people thought it would.
In Asia, shares went up thanks to Chinese shares doing well. The yen, which is Japanese money, also increased a lot because a person from the Bank of Japan said that the bank might stop its negative interest rates.
Bitcoin quickly gained more value, going over $60,000, which hasn’t happened for over two years. This was because of new demands for it. Bitcoin’s highest ever value was close to $69,000.
Finally, American bonds did better on Wednesday. However, they did not do as well the next day.
