A study by DP World and Economist Impact shows that even though 2023 was tough, businesses in Egypt are positive about 2024. This is even after worrying news about world events.
The study showed many businesses are now using more technology and are being emergency ready. This includes businesses in Egypt too.
28% of top people in businesses in Egypt plan to use technology to make their work smoother and faster. They think technology also helps them see a bright future.
Almost half (48%) of these people say their firms used AI last year to change the way they work. An extra 20% want to start using it this year. They are also learning about new technologies to better protect and follow their business information.
Rizwan Soomar, the big boss of DP World in North Africa and the Indian Subcontinent, said:
“We are staying positive too. We want to help businesses make their work faster and safer using technology. For example, in Ain Sokhna Port, we have already improved truck times by 35% and ship activities by 16%. We have also introduced easy ways of paying and following shipments.”
