T-Mobile services are currently facing a major outage across the United States, affecting many iPhone users who are seeing “SOS” displayed on their devices. This situation raises concerns about connectivity for millions of customers.
The disruption reportedly began around 4 p.m. ET (1 p.m. PT), according to data collected by Downdetector. Users from various regions are reporting difficulties in making calls, sending messages, and accessing mobile data. A thread on Reddit has accumulated numerous complaints as T-Mobile subscribers express their frustrations.
Reports suggest that several staff members at 9to5Mac are also experiencing difficulties with their T-Mobile services, indicating the widespread nature of the issue. Users affected by the problem are seeing the “SOS” icon on their iPhones, which signals that there is no network connectivity available. Although normal services are interrupted, users can still make emergency calls.
In response, a T-Mobile spokesperson assured that the company is prioritising the resolution of these technical challenges. They acknowledged the importance of staying connected and are focusing all available resources on fixing the issue quickly.
As of now, T-Mobile has not provided an estimated time for when services will be restored. Other major carriers, including Verizon and AT&T, do not appear to be experiencing similar issues. Further updates are expected as T-Mobile continues to investigate the problem.
