After checking Pokemon.com’s locator, we see that TPCi now runs 1,871 Pokemon TCG vending machines in 28 states. This is a 27% increase and three new states added since May 2025, when there were 1,473 machines in 25 states.
This growth is the second-largest in the program’s history. From 2017 to 2023, the number of machines did not go above 65. Last year, the numbers jumped dramatically, rising from around 200 machines to 1,473 in just 14 months.
However, there have been many changes. Comparing the current list of machines to one from last summer, 207 machines have been taken away while 562 new ones have been added. This means about 1 in 7 machines are gone or moved.
Most removals happened across various retailers, especially on the West Coast. California, Washington, Oregon, and Arizona made up 59% of all removed machines. Although some machines were damaged due to problems in stores, we do not know how many incidents caused the removals.
California now has the most machines, with 372. This is more than Washington (230) and Texas (229). Three new states, Wisconsin, North Carolina, and South Carolina, began using machines in new stores, showing TPCi is increasing its partnerships. Florida and New York still do not have any machines, despite being very populous. A map of locations is available on Pokemon.com, although it is less comprehensive than before. Later this month, we may learn about the number of Pokemon cards printed in TPCi’s last fiscal year.
