The MICHELIN Guide has revealed its 2026 Florida recommendations, marking its first comprehensive coverage of the entire state. Six new restaurants have made the list, including 1921 Mount Dora, Smoke & Donuts, June, Kappo Tsan, Osteria Ester, and Sparrow.
Most one-star establishments in Orlando have retained their status, such as Camille, Kadence, Ômo by Jônt, Soseki, and Victoria & Albert’s. However, Capa at the Four Seasons Resort Orlando and Papa Llama have lost their stars, now listed as general recommendations. Central Florida did not see any new stars awarded this year.
Jason Chin, co-owner of Good Salt Restaurant Group, expressed excitement as two of his restaurants, Osteria Ester and Sparrow, gained recognition. He noted the significance of this honour after years of hoping for MICHELIN acclaim. Chin emphasised the hard work of his teams and the pride they should feel in their achievements.
Instead of hosting a traditional event, the announcements were made via a livestream on the MICHELIN Guide’s YouTube channel. This approach reflects the guide’s global reach of over 7 million followers. The livestream was hosted by MICHELIN representatives in Paris, showcasing restaurants from across Florida.
Other notable mentions include the recognition of Omo by Jônt’s Juan Valencia, who received the Michelin Sommelier Award. Additionally, the Green Star was retained by Kaya, highlighting its commitment to sustainability. As for the future, inspectors will share notes about the restaurants on the MICHELIN website and application, offering insights into their evaluations.
