Rolling Stones rock MetLife Stadium before Memorial Day weekend

The Rolling Stones rocked the crowd at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey on May 23. With members Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, both in their 80s, the band showed they can still deliver a high-energy performance. Their on-stage presence was magnetic as they delivered some of the greatest hits in rock ‘n’ roll including “Paint it Black” and “Gimme Shelter”.

Chanelle Haynes, on her Rolling Stones live debut tour, brought a sizzling energy on stage, especially with her lead in “Gimme Shelter”. The band’s energy grew as the night went on, with Jagger running around on stage and engaging with fans. One surprise of the night was when Richards performed not one, but two songs, much to the fans delight.

Aside from the classics, the band also performed songs from their latest album, “Hackney Diamonds”, which were well received. Jagger made sure to engage with the local crowd, referencing the current affairs in New York City.

The Rolling Stones will continue their tour, hitting 17 cities and ending in Ridgedale, Missouri. The next stop is at MetLife again on May 26th. With a killer start to the tour, the Rolling Stones have proven they are still a force to be reckoned with in rock ‘n’ roll.
