Darrell Sheets, ‘Storage Wars’ Star, Dies Aged 67

Darrell Sheets, a well-known star of the reality TV show “Storage Wars,” was found dead at his home in Arizona, according to police reports. He was 67 years old. Officers responded early Wednesday to a report of a deceased individual. Upon arrival around 2 a.m., they discovered a male who appeared to have suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. The cause of his death is currently under investigation.

Sheets rose to fame on “Storage Wars,” which began airing in 2010. He referred to himself as “the gambler” due to his daring bids on auctioned storage units. The A&E show follows teams of bidders searching through abandoned or repossessed units for possibly valuable items. Sheets, known for seeking out significant treasures, including four Picasso paintings, later expressed greater enjoyment in the experience of the auctions than in collecting.

Having featured in 163 episodes, Sheets’s passing has sparked an outpouring of grief. Brandi Passante, his co-star, shared memories of him on social media, highlighting the importance of suicide awareness. She encouraged others who may be struggling to seek help, emphasizing that they are not alone and can contact counselors by calling 988.

He is survived by his son Brandon and daughter Tiffany. A&E released a statement expressing sadness over the loss of Sheets, saying he was beloved within their “Storage Wars” family.
