Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, bought a house in Bel-Air that used to belong to Jordan Walker-Pearlman’s uncle, the late actor Gene Wilder. Musk sold the house to Walker-Pearlman and his wife in 2020. They couldn’t afford the original selling price of $9.5 million, so Musk helped them buy it by providing a loan of $6.7 million. The couple fell behind on payments due to the impact of a strike last year. Musk filed for foreclosure in late July, which means he might have to sell the house in 90 days. Despite this, there seems to be no hard feelings between Musk and the couple. They are grateful for the opportunity and have listed the house for sale at $12.95 million. Gene Wilder bought the house in 1976 for around $300,000. The house has a pool and overlooks the Bel-Air Country Club. Musk did not comment on the situation.
