‘Little Shop of Physics’ event lets families in Montezuma County learn about science- The Journal

A fun and exciting science event is happening at Montezuma-Cortez High School. The school is hosting ‘The Little Shop of Physics’ on March 14 at 5 p.m. This program is a part of the Colorado State University. The Little Shop of Physics teaches science in a fun way. It helps kids to learn and enjoy science. Everyone, from small kids to older students, can learn.

The Little Shop of Physics team likes to be different. Kids that come to the event are the scientists. They don’t just learn about science, they do it! The program helps teachers too. They can learn new ways to make their science classes fun.

Also, the program sometimes goes to other schools. The science projects that the kids make are of two types. Some can be seen in the light, and some in the dark. Everyone will enjoy the projects, even the older students too.

The program costs money but it’s worth it. It will be a night of “food, fun and science” for the whole family. Dinner is free for everyone. The program is very popular and already busy for 2023-24. If you want them to come to your school in 2024-25, send an email to littleshopofphysics@gmail.com.
