Michelle Pfeiffer and her husband David E. Kelley are teaming up for the first time in over three decades.

Pfeiffer decided to break her rule of keeping her personal and professional lives separate to star in “Margo’s Got Money Troubles” for AppleTV+.

Sharing the news on Instagram, Pfeiffer expressed her excitement about working alongside Elle Fanning, Nicole Kidman, and Kelley’s production company.

Despite being married for years, Pfeiffer and Kelley had previously avoided working together due to the perceived risks. However, they decided to collaborate on this project in 2025.

In a 2021 interview with The New Yorker, Pfeiffer revealed their decision not to work together earlier on in their marriage to avoid potential strain on their relationship.

Pfeiffer and Kelley first met on a blind date in 1993 and eventually tied the knot later that year.

While both successful in their respective careers, Pfeiffer praised Kelley’s writing, acknowledging his exceptional ability to depict women authentically in his work.

Pfeiffer emphasized the value she places on their relationship above professional opportunities, recognizing the potential challenges of working together.

Reflecting on their journey, Pfeiffer highlighted her impressive career, from her early TV and film appearances in the late ’70s and early ’80s to her standout roles in iconic films like “Scarface,” “Dangerous Liaisons,” and “Batman Returns.”

At 66 years old, Pfeiffer continues to captivate audiences with her talent and versatility on screen.
