Mines in South Dakota to host fifth Science Conference at SURF | News

Around 100 researchers and students are expected to attend, focusing on current and future research efforts at the facility. South Dakota Mines faculty and students are actively involved in SURF projects, including experiments on dark matter, extremophile bacteria, geothermal potential, and more. The conference will also feature a special session for the SURF User Association to provide feedback and insights for future research. This gathering is expected to foster innovative ideas and discussions in underground science.
