Sega Exploring Game Subscription Service Similar to Netflix

Sega is thinking about launching a service like Netflix but for video games. This would mean players could stream games instead of buying them outright. Other companies, like Xbox and PlayStation, already offer similar services. Sega’s president, Shuji Utsumi, said they are looking at this idea and exploring options.

Some people in the industry are worried that having multiple subscription services could cost gamers more money. Sega offers its games on various streaming platforms, each with different charges and features.

Sega’s president wants to make the company more successful globally, not just in Japan. He aims to bring back Sega’s cool factor, like in the 1990s when they competed with Nintendo’s Mario.

There may be a new Sonic game in the works, but details are still secret. Fans are eager for the return of the Chao Garden, a popular feature from past Sonic games.

Despite some setbacks this year, like job cuts and game delays, Sega remains optimistic. They have had success with new games and film adaptations. The latest Sonic movie is out now and receiving positive feedback.
