ENHYPEN’s member Heeseung will leave the group to pursue a solo career. The news, announced by the band’s agency, BELIFT LAB, on March 10, marks a significant change in the group’s lineup.
In an official statement, BELIFT LAB expressed gratitude to fans, known as ENGENE, for their support. They explained that after extensive discussions with Heeseung, they recognised his unique musical vision and decided to allow him to explore it independently. Following this decision, ENHYPEN will continue to perform as a six-member group.
The agency acknowledged that the announcement might come as a surprise and could evoke mixed feelings among fans. However, they emphasised that the decision aims to support both ENHYPEN’s future and Heeseung’s individual journey. Heeseung plans to release a solo album under BELIFT LAB while still being committed to the group’s energetic performances.
After the news broke, Heeseung addressed fans on Weverse, a social media platform for artists. In his handwritten letter, he expressed his surprise at the reactions and shared appreciation for the six years spent with ENHYPEN. He reflected on the strong connections made with both his bandmates and their supporters.
Heeseung reassured fans that he is working diligently towards his solo project, with a sincere wish to re-emerge as a better artist. He expressed his love for ENGENE, acknowledging their worries about his departure but encouraging their continued support.
As Heeseung embarks on this new chapter, the group aims to maintain their dynamic presence in the music industry with renewed energy as a six-member team.
