A forgotten 1980s supercar called the Nova has come back to life after a determined restoration effort. This important moment followed weeks of challenges that made the project seem nearly impossible.
The rebuild was filmed by Hudson Auto Films, documenting each step of the work. When the engine finally started, it was a major achievement for a project that had many difficulties.
The Nova is a light kit car inspired by racing cars from the 1960s. Hudson found the car mostly empty, with a damaged structure and missing parts. Instead of fixing the old engine, the builder decided to install a new turbocharged engine from an Alfa Romeo. This update needed new sensors and a control unit, which made the work more complicated.
After almost three weeks of trying, the engine failed to start. Hudson checked many parts, only to find that a simple setting in the software was the issue. Once fixed, the engine began to run.
Despite this progress, the work continued. Problems with fuel and sensors kept appearing. However, after many adjustments, the engine finally ran smoothly. Hudson will now focus on improving the cooling system and adding turbo parts to make the Nova even faster.
