Emma Mackey, who was in “Barbie,” will play a villain soon. She has been cast as Jadis, the White Witch, in the new “Chronicles of Narnia” movies on Netflix. This news comes from The Hollywood Reporter.

Emma is also known for her role as Maeve in “Sex Education” and as Emily Bronte in “Emily.”
Greta Gerwig is writing and directing the film. It is based on the book “The Magician’s Nephew.” In this story, two children wake up the White Witch and see how Narnia is born.
So far, only Meryl Streep is confirmed to join Emma. She will play Aslan, the lion.
The movie will be in theaters for two weeks in IMAX before it streams in late 2026.
