Street Fighter 6 announced a new character, Yasmine, during a gameplay trailer released today. This is significant as it reveals new directions for the game following the recent addition of Ingrid.
Capcom, the game’s developer, provided details on Yasmine’s moves and mechanics as she becomes the first character in Season 4. According to her character bio, Yasmine learned to fight from her grandfather and older brother. She initially trained to bond with her brother, who later disappeared, leaving her without motivation. However, she found inspiration again after watching a French supermodel’s videos.
Yasmine is described as a “rushdown” character, meaning she is aggressive and can quickly close the distance to her opponents. Her signature weapon is a karambit knife. One of her special moves, “Daloy ng Tubig,” allows her to perform quick knife attacks for combos. Another, “Alon,” provides a multi-slice follow-up that changes based on the strength of the attack.
Yasmine can enter a special state called Bayani Mode, where her knife glows blue. In this mode, different versions of her attacks have different effects, such as knocking down or launching opponents. Her Super Arts, powerful special moves, include “Hiwa ng Kalangitan” and “Pamumukadkad ng Sampaguita,” showcasing her combat abilities.
As players look forward to Yasmine, more details about her gameplay and character traits will likely emerge in the future.
