A few months ago, Honor Bisagno and her husband moved to Lincoln Park, Illinois. Soon after, they heard a strange noise from the stairs in their home.
Bisagno and her husband live in a rented garden unit below another house. The noise came from the door at the top of the stairs. They knew the upstairs neighbors had a dog named Biggs. The sound was Biggs wanting to come down.
Bisagno was unsure if she should let Biggs in, so she did not open the door. However, Biggs pushed the door open himself and walked into their home.
Biggs was very happy to see them. Bisagno and her husband loved him right away. They told Biggs’ owners what happened. They were happy that Biggs made new friends.
Biggs now visits Bisagno every day. They leave the door open for him. Bisagno feels closer to her neighbors because of Biggs. She never expected that a loose door would bring such joy into her life.
