Joe Rogan has made fun of Katy Perry and the team of female astronauts aboard Jeff Bezos’ recent Blue Origin flight. During a podcast, he mocked Perry by calling her a guru and compared the trip to space to a float in the water.
“People make a big deal out of it,” he said. Then he talked about the great things that male astronauts do before they go to space like being pilots and working for the Air Force.
A comedian named Tim Dillion stepped in and reminded Rogan that there have been female astronauts, too. He talked about a lady who got stuck on a space station for a few months. But Rogan just brushed it off.
He later said that many people think the flight was faked which might confuse some. Still, he thinks that it’s great they get to call themselves astronauts.
Last week, Bezos’ company, Blue Origin, launched a space trip with all women, including Perry. It lasted less than 11 minutes. A lot of people joked about Perry’s response to the short trip when she came back to Earth. You can watch a clip from Rogan’s podcast below.
