Joshua Jackson is among the many unfortunate individuals who have lost their homes in the ongoing Palisades Fire. The actor, known for his role in Doctor Odyssey, had his residence in Topanga Canyon, which he acquired in 2001, tragically destroyed over the weekend amid the devastating wildfires that have ravaged thousands of properties in Southern California.

“First and foremost, I am relieved to say that all my loved ones, including my daughter, family, and neighbors, are safe,” Jackson stated. “Sadly, my beautiful home did not withstand the flames. Nevertheless, I feel incredibly fortunate to be surrounded by those I cherish during this challenging time.”

Other celebrities, including Paris Hilton, Milo Ventimiglia, Adam Brody, Leighton Meester, and Billy Crystal, have also suffered losses due to the raging fires.

Fire outbreaks have been reported in various locations, including Pacific Palisades, Eaton Canyon, Malibu, and the Hollywood Hills, exacerbated by a “life-threatening and destructive” windstorm that intensified on Tuesday.

As of Sunday, at least 16 lives have been claimed by the wildfires, while the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department has received reports of 16 individuals missing. More than 105,000 people have faced mandatory evacuation orders, with an additional 87,000 individuals under evacuation warnings.

In response to the crisis, President Joe Biden has declared the fires a major disaster and has pledged the federal government will cover 100% of disaster assistance costs.
