“Practical Magic 2” is coming soon! This is a sequel to the popular movie from 1998, and it will be released on September 18, 2026. The movie will star Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman, who are returning to play the sisters Sally and Gillian Owens. The sisters come from a family of witches.
In the original film, Sally and Gillian fight against a curse that brings bad luck to the men they love. We do not know exactly what will happen in the sequel, but it will be based on the next book in Alice Hoffman’s “Practical Magic” series.
Recently, Warner Bros. shared a short teaser with a voiceover by Bullock and Kidman. They recite a magical rhyme: “Tooth of wolf and morning dew. Something old and something new. Let the spell begin to mix. Sept. 18, 2026.” The movie will be released on the same day as a new “Resident Evil” movie.
The first “Practical Magic” movie received mixed reviews and did not do well at the box office, but it developed a strong fan base over time. Susanne Bier is directing the sequel, and Kidman mentioned that it is progressing quickly. Both Bullock and Kidman will also help produce the film.
