NEW YORK (AP) — Today, brand names are very important in movies. But Ryan Coogler’s movie “Sinners” is different. It made $45.6 million in ticket sales in the U.S. and Canada.
“Sinners” is a film from Warner Bros. It cost $90 million to make. The movie has vampire themes and is about twin brothers, both played by Michael B. Jordan. They open a juke joint in Mississippi in 1932.
“A Minecraft Movie,” the biggest hit of the year, made $41.3 million in its third week. It is another movie from Warner Bros., bringing good news after some past failures.
The studio’s leaders, Pam Abdy and Mike De Luca, said they are excited about the response from audiences. They said, “Warner Bros.
