Headline: A Week of Massive Deals on Samsung Galaxy Tab Series

Samsung US initiated the week offering remarkable deals on the coveted Galaxy Tab S9 series, which, interestingly, are still up for grabs. Already popular, the Galaxy Tab series are back in focus with the recently-released Galaxy AI Update for the 2023 models. However, availing the discount on the 2022 Ultra might deliver more for the money.

The base Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra configured with 8GB/128GB is now only $700 while the 12GB/256GB variant is marked down to $750. To provide a contrast, purchasing a similar Tab S9 Ultra with 12GB/256GB will cost about $1,070.

Both have 14.6-inch 120Hz AMOLED displays, 11,200mAh batteries facilitating rapid 45W charging. Certain specifications, such as the chipset and aspects like IP68 dust and water resistance, differ. The choice between benefits and an extra $300 is subjective.

In other news, Samsung US brokered notable carrier deals, offering trade-in credit of $1,000 on the Galaxy Z Flip5 and Z Fold5. No need to worry if your contract period is yet to end, as the Galaxy Z Flip5 with 512GB storage can be attained from Amazon for $900. Its market cost on Samsung.com being $1,120 and $1,000 for the 256GB model (before applying trade-ins).

Downside, Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold5 is available for $1,400 for the 12/256GB model, which some may find steep. However, waiting a few months could bring cheaper FE and premium Ultra models with the impending Samsung Z 6 launch.

Smartphone shopping is never limited to a single brand. Other options available are the OnePlus Open, with a high specification of 16GB RAM and 512GB storage, for $1,500. Also, the silver version of Samsung’s smart ring, expected to launch at the upcoming Olympics, could be beneficial for self-monitoring.

For gaming, the Asus ROG Ally (Ryzen Z1) is a good investment. Best Buy is offering a limited-time deal of $300 down from the pre-sale $600. Asus ROG Ally allows one to enjoy Windows games which are unsupported by phones unless streamed.

All of these deals imply significant savings, but it’s always worth comparing prices to get the best value for your money.
