Wayne Osmond has died. He was a member of the Osmond Brothers. His family said he died on New Year’s Day. He was 73 years old.
Wayne had a stroke. A stroke is when blood doesn’t reach your brain. This can make you very sick. Wayne’s brother, Merrill, saw him at the hospital and said goodbye.
The family said Wayne was a good husband and father. He died with his wife and five kids with him. He was the first Osmond brother to die. Wayne was the second oldest in the Osmond Brothers group.
The Osmond Brothers started singing when Wayne was only six years old. They got famous in the 1960s after performing at Disneyland. They were seen there by Andy Williams’ father. Andy Williams was a popular singer and he had a TV show. The Osmond Brothers appeared on this show.
When Wayne was older, he had some health issues. He had a brain tumor in 1997. He got better, but he lost most of his hearing. He also had a stroke in 2012 and couldn’t play the guitar anymore.
After Wayne died, his siblings shared loving posts about him on social media. They said they will miss him a lot.
