Koalas are usually alone, but a recent video shows them being friendly.
Darcy Watchorn at Deakin University recorded male koalas grooming , playing, and hanging out closely together. They were very cute!
Male koalas usually fight over females. Watchorn thinks the friendly behavior he saw was due to overpopulation and lack of space.
In 2015, he filmed this behavior in Cape Otway, Victoria. He only shared the video now because it’s unique.
He also saw a sad event where a male hurt a joey by knocking it out of a tree. Watchorn rescued the joey and reunited it with its mother.
