Headline: Michael Keaton Dazzles in Beetlejuice Sequel Teaser
Michael Keaton is renowned for his ability to stand out, just like his famous Beetlejuice character. His unique style was displayed when he wore a brown jacket and white pants, while others dressed in black, at a recent presentation at CinemaCon.
Director Tim Burton and other Beetlejuice cast members previewed an extended trailer for the much-anticipated sequel, due to hit theatres on September 6. The original film, a 1988 supernatural comedy, starred Keaton as Beetlejuice, the entertaining ghost. The new trailer shows Beetlejuice back creating havoc in both the human and afterlife worlds.
One of the movie’s highlights is the return of actors like Winona Ryder and Catherine O’Hara, the Deetz family. A notable new invitee to the Beetlejuice family? Actress Jenna Ortega, who received praise from Keaton for her fitting into the unique tone of the movie.
The sequel has been long-awaited, and the project was a passionate one for Keaton and Burton. Both appeared thrilled to bring their “weird family reunion” to life, and from Keaton’s comments, it seems like the sequel will not disappoint.
“We just went nuts. To duplicate that, I was very nervous to see us pull it off again,” said Keaton, expressing his satisfaction when saying it was “(expletive) good.”
