The Volkswagen ID. Buzz will return to the U.S. market in the model year 2027. This electric minivan was not available in the previous model year because of low demand. Volkswagen moved from model year 2025 directly to 2027 for this reason.
The new ID. Buzz will feature two new trims and updated software. There will also be new colour and wheel choices. Camping fans will enjoy a special trim called the Tourer 4Motion. This model includes a fold-out mattress, window blinds, and ventilation panels. It also has an “Overnight Mode,” which lets users operate functions like climate control using the vehicle’s battery even when the car is off.
One important change is the new one-pedal driving feature. This allows drivers to stop the vehicle without using the brake pedal. The ID. Buzz will come with the latest ID.S 6 software, improving the infotainment system with easier navigation and a new App Store for third-party applications like YouTube.
Volkswagen will now offer only dual-tone paint options. Pricing details have not been confirmed, but the starting price for the previous model was $60,000.
