Pokémon GO Fest 2026 Sparks Global Community Celebrations

Pokémon GO is celebrating its 10th anniversary with the introduction of the Genetic Pokémon, Mega Mewtwo X and Mega Mewtwo Y, in Super Mega Raid Battles. Trainers will need to team up with others to defeat these strong Raid Bosses. To mark this special occasion, Pokémon GO Fest 2026: Global will be free for everyone who logs in during the event weekend. This means that all Trainers can take part in Special Research, earn bonuses, and have a better chance of finding Shiny Pokémon without any cost.

Trainers can join local communities to battle these Super Mega Raids or participate in one of 26 Community Celebrations worldwide during the event. Major cities will host public events that offer a fully branded Pokémon GO experience with on-site adventures and giveaways. This community aspect is vital during GO Fest, making it a great opportunity to meet fellow players.

Festivities will take place in significant cities across different regions. In North America, for example, events will be held in San Francisco, Dallas–Fort Worth, and New York City on July 11 and 12, 2026. In Europe, cities like Hamburg and Barcelona will host events. Locations in Latin America include Sao Paulo and Santiago, while Asian cities like Seoul and Tokyo will also celebrate.
