Chris Redd, a former “Saturday Night Live” cast member, wants to be more open in 2026. He talked about his struggles with pills and his relationship with Kenan Thompson’s ex-wife, Christina Evangeline.
In an emotional Instagram video, Redd said he saw everything people said about him.
Redd, 40, worked on “SNL” from 2017 to 2022. He shared that his “pill problems” and personal issues led to his relationship with Evangeline. He said this was a “unique” situation.
He also mentioned selling pills to other cast members but kept their names secret. Redd faced panic attacks and felt that others did not care about his health.
Evangeline was the only one who helped him seek treatment. He felt bad about their relationship because of his friendship with Thompson.
Thompson divorced Evangeline in 2022. Redd said he knew his choices might hurt people he loved, but he was in love with Evangeline.
Redd was known for his impressions on “SNL.” Now he is focusing on stand-up comedy and has a project coming out on January 28.
