Undercover Officer Reveals His Two-Year Wild Journey Inside the Notorious Hells Angels Biker Gang

The dark underbelly of notorious biker gang, the Hells Angels has been revealed by former undercover cop, Jay Dobyns, 62, who infiltrated the gang between 2001 and 2003. Dobyns describes his undercover operation as a life and death experience packed with violence. His experience highlighted the readiness of Hells Angels members to kill their own.

The mission aimed at curbing the rampant violent activities of the gang that included operating with impunity, leading to the murder of Cynthia Garcia and a public riot at a casino resulting in a bloody clash with rival group, Mongols.

Dobyns revealed that he was initially not keen on infiltrating the gang but eventually realized he had a criminal reputation in the area which could give him a head start. He indicated that the Hells Angels are paranoid, hence their need to verify the authenticity of any new member to ensure they are not a threat but a victim that could eventually be taken advantage of.

Upon completion of the operation, 36 gang members were arrested and Dobyns’ cover was blown. This resulted in death threats against him and his family. Despite being retired since 2004, more than 20 years later, Dobyns still lives cautiously due to threats from the Hells Angels.
