A 1,000-horsepower Mercedes-Benz limousine, originating from a mid-2000s E-Class model, has become a reality following extensive modifications. This remarkable vehicle, transformed from its original purpose of transporting high-profile individuals, now boasts a level of power that challenges conventional expectations of luxury cars.
Owned by content creator Backfire Brad, this limousine underwent significant alterations within a mere four months to prepare for the upcoming 2025 SEMA show, a key event in the automotive industry. The original E240 engine has been replaced by a twin-turbocharged 6.0-litre Corvette V8 engine, generating an impressive 1,022 horsepower. This remarkable power is attributable in part to two oversized turbochargers, which are visibly protruding from the vehicle’s hood.
The exterior of the car features striking bright yellow paint and large “Drift Limo” logos, signalling its unique capabilities. This modification extends beyond aesthetics; the limousine has been successfully tested in a drift event, the Ice King Battle, organised by a German collective known as RD48. This event involved races on snow and ice, further elevating the vehicle’s thrilling reputation.
Equipped with a large rear wing, the limousine is designed to provide stability at high speeds, counteracting the challenges typically faced by vehicles of its size during performance maneuvers. This innovation illustrates how the vehicle has evolved from a typical limousine into an extraordinary machine capable of thrilling performances.
As the model approaches its debut at SEMA, enthusiasts and industry professionals await further insights into its capabilities and performance metrics.
