‘Knights of the Old Republic’ Animatic Reimagines Endar Spire Sequence

An animatic of a scene from the Endar Spire tutorial has been shared online. This is from a remake of the game Knights of the Old Republic that was cancelled. The website MP1st shared the animatic along with early images of the game. These images match the footage shown of the Endar Spire scene.

The project is being redeveloped by Saber Interactive. The new videos show how the remake would have changed the original story. The latest version features a fully voiced player character, unlike the original game, which had only text options.

In the animatic, two characters join the player. They are Trask Ulgo, a tutorial partner, and Carth Onasi, a main character. The video begins after a fight on the Endar Spire. The player and Trask receive a message from Carth. Suddenly, an explosion opens a big hole in the ship. Trask saves the player by closing a door and restoring gravity.

The remake is now being developed by Saber Interactive. Meanwhile, a new game called Fate of the Old Republic is also in development.
