Sony to phase out physical PlayStation discs by 2028

Sony will stop making physical discs for new PlayStation games from January 2028. This means all new games will be digital only. Sony shared this news on their PlayStation Blog.

The company said many players now prefer to buy and download games digitally. They believe this change matches what most people want today. Physical discs will not be available for new games after January 2028.
