Google has stopped an ad account that showed fake ads. These ads pretended to give access to DeepSeek but instead sent malware to users.
Malware is bad software that can harm devices. These ads looked like the real DeepSeek site but were fake. When users clicked a download button, they got a Trojan. A Trojan is a type of malware, Malwarebytes said.
A spokesman from Google said they found this problem before the news report. They quickly stopped the ad account. Google does not allow ads that spread malware.
This is one of many cybersecurity problems recently. AppSOC found issues with DeepSeek’s AI model. It can create harmful software.
In other news, Trend Micro said hackers use Google and YouTube to trick people into downloading dangerous software.
