The esteemed Irish comedy biopic “Kneecap,” centered on the eponymous Belfast rap ensemble, has garnered the pinnacle accolade at the British Independent Film Awards, amassing a remarkable total of seven awards throughout the ceremony.
This debut feature from writer and director Rich Peppiatt entered the awards with the distinct honor of having previously secured four BIFA craft awards. “Kneecap” was distinguished as the best British independent film, while Peppiatt himself was recognized as the best debut screenwriter.
