Lauren Bennett, singer of ‘Party Rock Anthem’, dies aged 36

Lauren Bennett, known for her work on the song “Party Rock Anthem” and as a member of the girl group G.R.L., has died in England at the age of 36. Bennett reportedly passed away on May 29 in Meopham, Kent, about an hour from London. An inquest, which investigates unexplained deaths, is scheduled for October.

The exact circumstances surrounding her death have not been disclosed. Her father, Richard Bennett, expressed “deep disappointment” with the UK’s National Health Service, stating it failed to provide proper treatment after his daughter suffered a serious reaction to prescribed medication. He shared his grief online, describing Lauren as his “pride and joy” and praising her talents.

Richard stated that Lauren had a special gift from a young age and that her achievements in music exceeded their expectations. He emphasised that the family did all they could to support her during a difficult time, but they felt let down by medical professionals.

G.R.L. confirmed her death in a heartfelt Instagram post, expressing their broken hearts and gratitude for the love Bennett brought into their lives. They said her spirit touched many and she would be deeply missed.
