The 2026 Producers Guild Awards are currently being held at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles, marking a significant event in the film industry. This year, the top honour, the Darryl F. Zanuck Award for Outstanding Producer of Theatrical Motion Pictures, is often seen as a strong indicator of the Oscar Best Picture winner due to the similar voting processes of the Producers Guild and the Academy. The nominees for this prestigious award include films such as Bugonia, F1, Frankenstein, and Weapons.
The awards ceremony features ten categories, recognising achievements in both film and television. In addition to the main film awards, honours for animated films and multiple television categories are highlighted, with titles like KPop Demon Hunters and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert already securing awards.
Prior to the main event, four awards were presented. Notable winners included Formula 1: Drive to Survive and Sesame Street. Alongside the competitive awards, three special recognitions will be awarded to industry figures including Amy Pascal and Jason Blum.
PGA executive director Susan Sprung opened the evening by addressing recent events in the Middle East and expressing hopes for peace. She also commented on Paramount’s acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery, urging regulators to provide necessary safeguards for producers and the industry.
As the ceremony progresses, live updates on award winners will be provided, with a complete list of nominees available for those interested.
