On Wednesday, xAI published a full 45-minute meeting video on X, making it available to everyone. This decision followed previous reports from The New York Times about the meeting.
The video shares important information about Elon Musk’s plans for the AI lab. It includes details about future products and connections to the X platform. A key point was the announcement of several employees leaving the company. Musk explained that these layoffs were due to a change in the company’s structure. Many founding team members left, causing confusion among staff.
“As a company grows, the structure must change,” Musk said on X. “This unfortunately required parting ways with some people. We wish them well in future endeavors.”
The new structure divides xAI into four main teams. One team will work on the Grok chatbot, another on coding systems, a third on the Imagine video generator, and a final team will focus on the Macrohard project. This project aims to use AI for complex computer tasks.
Additionally, executives reported that xAI’s Imagine tool produces 50 million videos daily and over 6 billion images monthly. However, many images are part of a recent problem with deepfake content on X. At the end of the meeting, Musk discussed the idea of creating data centers in space. He even suggested a factory on the moon to build AI satellites.
