Noah Kahan has unveiled his highly anticipated fourth studio album, The Great Divide, and within 24 hours, he released even more music. He surprised fans with an extended version called The Great Divide: The Last of the Bugs, which includes four new tracks, bringing the total to 21 songs.
Instead of placing the new songs at the end, Kahan incorporated them throughout the album. The first new track, “Lighthouse,” is positioned at No. 5, between previously released songs “Downfall” and “Paid Time Off.” The following new track, “Staying Still,” appears after “Paid Time Off” and before the title track. The last two new songs, “A Few of Our Own” and “Orbiter,” are located further down at No. 19 and No. 20.
Kahan’s Great Divide builds on the success of his breakthrough album, Stick Season, which elevated him from performing in clubs to filling stadiums. The 29-year-old artist announced the album in late January and released the music video for its title track during a commercial break at the 2026 Grammy Awards.
In a release, Kahan shared his feelings about the album’s creation, describing it as a blend of fear, pressure, joy, and love. He remarked on the challenges he faced, saying he often felt lost in the dark, reaching out for something familiar that might guide him back to the light.
Kahan acknowledged the support he received along the way, highlighting the influences of his band, family, and fans. He expressed pride in their shared journey and hopes to continue living this dream together.
Earlier this month, Kahan also premiered a Netflix documentary titled Noah Kahan: Out of Body, directed by Nick Sweeney, which explores his preparations for The Great Divide as he navigates the challenges that follow a major hit.
