Annabel Yao is now a brand ambassador for Huawei. She is the daughter of Ren Zhengfei, the founder of Huawei. This is her first time promoting her father’s company.
Many people are happy to see Annabel. One person on Weibo said, “I knew Anna would support Huawei phones.” Another said, “Finally, a family member represents the brand.”
Annabel was born in 1998. She graduated from Harvard University in 2021. Before, she worked for a car company called Avita.
Huawei launched a new phone called Pura X. It is a foldable phone that looks like a small book when closed. It has a big screen when open. The phone costs about 7,499 yuan (US$1,034). Pre-orders are now open in China.
