Apple to Compensate iPhone Users in Siri Lawsuit

In June 2024, Apple announced new Siri capabilities, powered by Apple Intelligence. These features included understanding users’ personal contexts and accessing information from apps like Mail and Messages. To qualify for a claim, individuals must reside in the U.S. and have purchased an iPhone 15 Pro or iPhone 16 between June 10, 2024, and March 29, 2025. The eligible models include the iPhone 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max, and various iPhone 16 models. Claimants may not need to still own their device, but proof of purchase could be necessary.

Those eligible will receive at least $25 per device, which may increase to $95 if fewer claims are submitted than expected. An online claims form will be available on a settlement website in the coming months, and eligible individuals will be notified by email within approximately 45 days.

Apple CEO Tim Cook announced that the enhanced version of Siri is set to launch later this year, coinciding with the upcoming updates for iOS, iPadOS, and macOS. A dedicated Siri app is also reportedly in the works.
