Jessica Chastain has announced that Apple TV will finally release her political thriller series “The Savant.” The show was originally set to premiere in September 2025 but was delayed after the assassination of Charlie Kirk. In the series, Chastain plays an investigator who goes undercover on the dark web to find hate groups and prevent domestic terrorism.
Chastain shared her excitement about the release during the Breakthrough Prize ceremony in Santa Monica, stating, “Before it was like, ‘I don’t know if we’re going to see it,’ but now I can say, ‘We’re going to see it.’” Sources indicate that Apple plans to release the series in July.
When Apple announced the postponement on September 23, it explained that the decision was made after careful consideration and expressed gratitude for the audience’s understanding.
The following day, Chastain, who is also an executive producer, expressed her disagreement with Apple’s decision on Instagram. She commented that the show deals with very relevant themes and highlighted the importance of honouring the heroes who work to stop violence.
The cast of “The Savant” includes Nnamdi Asomugha, Pablo Schreiber, and other notable actors. Fans will look forward to the show’s release date, which is anticipated soon.
