Porsche has introduced the Cayenne Electric, including a new variant called the Cayenne Coupe Electric, which will be available in dealerships this summer. This model is significant because it meets the demand for coupes, which made up 40% of all Cayenne sales in the U.S. last year.
The Cayenne Coupe Electric has a sleeker design, featuring a lower roofline compared to the standard electric version. It is designed with improved aerodynamics, which helps reduce wind resistance. For example, it has a drag coefficient of 0.23, similar to a Tesla Model 3. There is a large adaptive spoiler at the rear, and Turbo models will have sliding aeroblades to enhance efficiency during driving.
Inside, the car closely resembles the standard Cayenne Electric but has a reduced cargo space due to its design. A panoramic sunroof comes as standard, and the car can be fitted with features like a Lightweight Sport Package, which reduces its weight and improves performance.
Porsche will offer three versions of the Coupe: base, S, and Turbo. All versions feature advanced electric motors and a large battery pack, allowing for fast charging and impressive acceleration. The starting price for the base model is $116,150, which is $4,800 more than the standard Cayenne. Deliveries of all versions will start at the end of summer.
